The blog begins.
Blimey! It works!
After a few days of unbelivable headaches trying to fathom the depths of domain name registration, reseller hosting services and FTP clients, I seem to have finally joined the blogosphere. I must at this point give thanks to me old mate Andy Hume (www.thedredge.org) who has (without realising it, actually) opened my eyes to this brave new world. Also to blogger.com, who have made this process far less of a tedious computer tweaking exercise than I thought it might be.
So what’s the purpose of this blog? Well to be honest I really don’t know. Over the coming days, weeks and months, I hope that my musings on this site will help to crystallise this for me. I don’t want to use it as a business tool exactly, and I’m not sure anyone’s really that interested in my views on horn playing, web design, football, international politics or anything else. At the moment it’s just going to be a repository for stuff that doesn’t quite fit into my head. Anyone who knows me will be aware of my tendency to talk complete BS at odd intervals, hopefully this will go some way towards filtering out the BS. If not, please all feel free to comment/argue/throw big rocks at my head.
Anyway, enjoy. I certainly am.
